Poem No. 13

An Dubh Nis

Blackness castle by the sea

Was built in the 15th century

An ancient village An dubh nis

Sit’s Crichton’s Fort by the Port

The Port served Lithgie more or less

Taken over by the larger port of Bo’ness

A meal or drink that are often sought

Can still be found at the Lobster Pot

And entertained without not one fault

By the local folk band that are Pure Malt

Yes the Lobster Pot serving high tea

Next to Blackness castle by the sea
