Poem No. 145

POEM TITLE Contentious King of Scots

POEM Old King Hob, King Nobody...Indeed

Once leading supporter of rebels

By hook or by crook, your plan to succeed

Would bring death to your kin on all levels

--------------------------------------------------

Did fugitive then turn to murder,

When rival Comyn was slain?

Struck twice on the steps of the altar

Where he left his bloody stain

------------------------------------------

So King nobody became King of Scots

Not by traditional means to get there

Wild nights in The Lobster Pot!

And good old fashioned murder.
