POEM TITLE NEVER FORGOTTEN

POEM My thoughts go back to an evening in May

As I moved around the grounds of Blackness castle

The sea was dark, the sky quite grey

But i couldn't leave, I had to stay

Dinner for ten at the Lobster Pot

Family united with lots to say

Moments of joy and sadness too

We couldn't leave, we had to stay

All around us the pull of the past

The majestic castle standing fast

The sea, the bridges, the boats so clear

And the Lobster Pot calling

"Come here, come here"

We couldn't leave, we had to stay

The past and the present coming together

A family smiling though their loss would be forever

Blackness like a magician made them smile once again

And the Lobster Pot, for a moment saved them from their pain

I couldn't stay, I had to leave

Blackness on Sea

So precious to me.
