POEM TITLE Storm over Blackness

POEM Storm over Blackness

We took refuge in the Lobster Pot, from out the wild woods,

Across the loch, over the winding roads came a terrible entity,

It called out across Blackness bay, for you it is too late,

Now dark clouds race before me, at my side the maelstrom

Gnashes its teeth, howling unbridled, awaiting the command,

Lightning forks at my back, hear me roar, hear me roar, I

Have come to wreak havoc, for you there is no escape, no second

Chance and nowhere to hide, I will sweep you up and caste you

Into the raging sea, where creatures from the darkest

Depths await each flailing morsel! I have chased away the sun,

I poked out its yellow eye and now it cowers in fear and dread

Beyond the horizon, the sky is a sea of torment with no safe anchorage,

Purple shrouds rise up in their ghastly swell, enveloping the night

With sodden intent, step forward if you dare:

All that day we remained chained to the bar, fearing for our lives,

Well that’s what I told the wife and I am sticking to it.
