Poem No. 157

POEM TITLE Blackness on sea

POEM You can wander if you will

Up behind the castles hill

Where views stretch all around

And a fortress rises, strong and proud

So see it's boat shaped castle walls

Built to deflect wars cannonballs

Or the ammo room or prison

So beautifull here when dawn is kissing

Leaving,and looking to the right

There's boat club vessels moored up tight

And others,grounded for repair

Just smell that tang of salty air

Now left the war memorials column

Commemorating our soldiers fallen

From the district of blackness on sea

Who gave their lives for free

The village centre, just a few steps more

Surely our residents social core

A restaurant,shop,and bar it's got

An eclectic building,the lobster pot.

Dinner here, then stroll to the sea

Just the finest place to be

But if the winds should howl and gust

Just wait to see our heavenly dusk
