Poem no. 178

POEM TITLE

A stroll through Blackness

POEM

As Dawn breaks on a misty morn in the beautiful village of Blackness

I take a stroll along the shore and I am feeling very blessed.

In the Distance in all its glory stands the imposing Blackness Castle,

a magnificent sight to behold.

Where down the years it has kept out of Scotland the brave and the bold.

As I look around this hallowed ground, I am held within its grasp, the sights ,the sounds, the smells , that I hope will forever last.

Set gently in the quiet of this pretty little village

Is a quaint and vibrant place

The Lobster pot restaurant and bar is where you will find great food and drink

to suit everyone's taste

A gallery of the owners art adorn the walls and ceiling,

which makes visiting Blackness even more appealing.

A lovely way to end the day is with a wee dram in your hand and enjoy the beautiful village of Blackness,

For today at least ,we are feeling very blessed.
