POEM TITLE

A CRACKIN QUIRKY PUB

POEM

A CRACKIN QUIRKY PUB

LOCATED IN A BAY

ALONG THE FIRTH OF FORTH

SITS A BONNY VILLAGE

BLACKNESS ON SEA IT’S CALLED

THE ANCIENT PORT WAS BUILT

IN CENTURY TWELVE BACK THEN

TO SUPPORT IT‘S NEIGHBOUR LITHGAE

TO BUILD UP BUSINESS D’YER KEN

THE SHIP THAT NEVER SAILED

SITS BOLDY ON SOUTH SHORE

A FIFTEENTH CENTURY GARRISON

IS BLACKNESS CASTLE STANDING BRAW

A BOAT CLUB AND THE PIER

BLACKNESS HAS GOT THE LOT

INCLUDING A CRACKIN QUIRKY PUB

ITS CALLED THE LOBSTER POT

THE SIGNATURE DISH IS

A SUCCULENT LOBSTER AND CHIPS

BUT HAS OTHER LOVLEY CHOICES

THAT CAN FULFILL YOUR WISH

THE OWNER DONE THE PAINTINGS

COVERING THE CEILINGS AND THE WALLS

FLAGS AND FISHERMANS NETS

SHIP FIGUREHEADS STANDING TALL

HE MADE A BOTTLE PHOTO BOOTH

ALL LOVE TO USE OF COURSE

AS WELL AS A LIFESIZE MODEL

OF SEAMUS THE HORSE

STARING OUT A WINDOW

IS A JOKEY THING OF FUN

WATCHING ALL THE PASSER BYS

A GIANT WHITE SEAGULL

NOT FORGETTING KELTY

THE BEACH HIS FAVOURITE PLACE

HE IS THE PUB DOG COLLIE

AND LOVES STONES THROWN HE CAN CHASE

A QUIZ NIGHT IT IS HELD

EVERY SECOND WEEK

AND EVERY NOW AND THEN

PURE MALTS MUSIC GIVES A TREAT

GIVE THE LOBSTER POT A TRY

YOU REALLY MUST I SAY

BLACKNESS IS ALSO LOVELY

AND IT’S TWINNED WITH
