Poem no. 224

POEM TITLE

The Journey of no return

POEM

I passed by the fife,

It was a journey of no return,

Waves and lightning

Piercing screams and the cries of babes

It feels like yesterday's nightmare

I lost a part of my heart,

That sea day

I keep asking myself

Would I ever love and be loved?

Love is like a fairytale

Unreal, like walking on the clouds

Your head high

But fleeting

Our hands locked

It was locked forever

Or that's what I thought

But there is no forever

But my heart still beats

That makes me grateful

The sea tells an untold story

The sea breeze sings it

Now I watch the blackness of the sea

While sipping rum at The Lobster Pot

The sea looks calm

But looks lie
