Poem No.25

ANT

Come on little ones

Put your best foot forward

Make a stride and follow your dreams

Near the end to abolish our coward

He sold our hive to the highest bidder

Took us for a ride to destination unkown

Our fathers retired faces scarred and bitter

One of ours had it long

Diving a bridge to drown

I can not demonstrate

Kaa kwa laini kurutu!

Come one come all little ones

Put your mind sober

Turn the wheels of revolution

Education being our means of travel

Do not drink the Babylon juice

It does kill us slowly

A liquid bitter sweet

It was not from our ancestors concoctions

It only does destroy your tomorrow

Leo si kesho nani

Kuingia kaburi mbele ya wazazi na anasa

Unity is strength

Hakuna matata

I am tired of your narratives

Give me our pen

You stalling makes my heart heavy

My flower bloom cabbage

Give me the baton

I pass on to the next one

The long sweet inheritance

Unite the trinity

Grand the prime and the future

And if we unite in holy Trinity

Defeating any demons anxiety and ego

Our hive will surely flourish

And sprout wings of freedom

We land our transformed selves

Kings and queens new dynasties

And build we did our new young kingdoms

Giving birth to energized soldiers ,maidens and kin

To hold the next baton they shall

And wearing the black suit

Heading for graduation

Congratulations to the disciplined

And praise be to the youths dedications

And banish the discerners and uncouth

To face the kingdom

The back towards exiles

And build the legendary hills

And fortify our fortress we did

And shower our young with sweet

victory

To nourish the young with wealth in their combs
