Poem No. 33

The Lobster Pot at Blackness on Sea

POEM

Went for a drive to Blackness on Sea

For a lovely wee walk, just my mucker and me.

The fresh sea air brought on a tummy rumble,

So we decided to have lunch before one of us took a tumble.

Entered a bonny wee pub filled with nautical goodies,

The specials board displayed a heaven for foodies.

Steak and lobster, burgers and fish,

So much choice for a delightful dish.

We sat by a cosy, open coal fire and soaked up the atmosphere, something you'd

never tire.

The welcome from the staff was as warm as the glowing coals,

Offering drinks, light bites and hearty meals to hungry souls.

Comfort food was calling, it was macaroni cheese for me,

Tasted just like my mam's, an amazing treat for a tea.

Mesmerised by the decor, I tried to take it all in,

To rush my food and ignore, would just be a sin.

With full tummies and wide smiles for my mucker and me,

I'd highly recommend The Lobster Pot at Blackness on Sea.
