SNAPSHOTS

A Banshee wind howled around

the Castle walls

An effortless ambush a cold embrace

Discordant sounds and muted calls

Sheet music orchestrated by the wind

Sentries watching ready to face

the battle to come

Darkness to light brings the

foe that day

Cromwell's cannon scarring the walls

Blood and bone adorning its stone

The departing wind wails

on its way

Excisemen strode and rode

on patrol along the coast

The port full of hustle and bustle

Trading ships and sailing ships

Then Bo'ness gains the prize

Blackness on Sea mourns its demise

Deacons and Artisans marching

on patrol today

Ensuring boundaries are kept and

riots held at bay

Mission completed on Castlehill

All roads lead to the Lobster Pot

where all may have their fill

The view unsurpassed from

the Castle's domain

A trio of Bridges their names

writ large in the Book of Fame

Momentarily subservient under

their loins

The River presses on until it joins

the waters of the Sea
