Poem No. 9

Updated: Mar 19, 2022

Blackness on Sea

On the East Coast

Near Edinburgh city

There lies a village

That looks so pretty

People come

For a pleasant day

Admiring the castle

And Blackness bay

With a long history

Of noble lineage

From 12th century

A proud village

Once a port

Linlithgow's gain

Now in showbiz

Of Outlander fame

A local pub

The Lobster Pot

Famous cuisine

Tops the lot

Come and visit

Blackness on Sea

Discover for yourself

It's the place to be
