POEM TITLE A Wee Corner of Scottish Landscape

POEM As you explore the wonders of the Firth of Forth, along the River Banks

You stumble on a historic town with views that are top of the ranks

The stunning Majestic Castle, rising up from the coast

The view of the iconic bridges of which us Scot's like to boast

Blackness-on-sea so welcoming, to walkers and diners too

You can acquaint the local Lobster Pot and have a wee dram or two

The walks are pretty stunning on the paths you can stop to take a rest

Take in the birdlife, sealife and more.... nature at its best

The history of the castle, preserved for all to see

You imagine the battles, the wars that were fought, generations of families who wandered free

The boats that fill the harbour, the dramatic tidal extremes

That make the views so luring and are every photographers dream

So cherish this wee corner, of our Scottish Landscape

And enjoy all it has to offer by the people who continue to make

The village a place you feel welcome and want to visit again

We should be proud of what we have preserved, stunning in sunshine and snow

and rain
